Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge are gearing up to reunite as NxWorries for their first performance in five years at the Blue Note Jazz Festival in New York City.
The duo, last seen together on stage at Oakland's Blurry Vision Fest in 2018, were revealed as part of the festival lineup on Tuesday (March 14) via an Instagram post. The event will also feature performances by Grace Jones, BJ The Chicago Kid, and Talib Kweli, among others.
The annual jazz celebration is set to begin on May 31 and will take place across multiple NYC venues such as the Beacon Theatre, Sony Hall, Town Hall, and SummerStage in Central Park. Tickets can be found on the festival's website.
In addition to the New York event, the Blue Note festival expanded to Napa Valley in 2022. Scheduled for July 28-30, the Napa Valley edition will showcase performances at the Silverado Resort, including a collaboration between artist-in-residence Robert Glasper and Dave Chappelle.
NxWorries' upcoming performance follows their musical comeback in October with the single "Where I Go," featuring H.E.R.
After an unannounced hiatus in 2018, Anderson .Paak ventured into numerous solo projects and teamed up with Bruno Mars to form the Grammy-winning duo Silk Sonic. Their debut album, An Evening with Silk Sonic, was released in 2021 and earned four Grammy awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
Meanwhile, Knxwledge has been busy producing for prominent rappers like Mach-Hommy, Earl Sweatshirt, Action Bronson, and Westside Gunn.
Beyond music, Anderson .Paak has explored other ventures, such as launching his latest Vans collection last summer. The "Vanderson Collection," his third collaboration with the brand, featured a variety of t-shirts, sneakers like the EPack Sport, clothing, and accessories curated by the Silk Sonic artist himself.
In a statement, .Paak expressed his enthusiasm for the collection, saying, "Vans was super patient with me on this one. We met every week in Malibu and designed these shoes in the California sunshine. This is my best drop yet, and I'm so proud of what we've come up with."
