BIA FLIPS MISSY ELLIOTT CLASSIC INTO DRILL SONG

Over the weekend, BIA shared a teaser for her upcoming song, which features a sample from Missy Elliott's classic 1999 hit, "She's a Bitch." Notably, Timbaland, who produced the original track, endorsed BIA's new song on social media.

On Sunday (March 12), the "WHOLE LOTTA MONEY" artist posted a preview of her forthcoming track on Instagram. The song is a drill-inspired creation that samples Missy Elliott's iconic tune. In the video, BIA showcases her dance skills and raps along to her new single.

Timbaland demonstrated his support for BIA by sharing her video on his Instagram account, captioning it with, "Timbo X @bia @skipondabeat."

The new track, titled "I'm That Bitch," pays homage to Missy's 1999 single and features Timbaland as a guest artist. This marks BIA's second collaboration with Missy, following their appearance on David Guetta's "Trampoline" alongside Doechii last year.

Missy Elliott's "She's a Bitch" was the lead single from her second studio album, Da Real World, released in June 1999. The album debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 chart and remained there for 39 weeks.

The song's music video, directed by Hype Williams, was among the most expensive ever made. In 2017, Ski Mask The Slump God released his own remix of the track, titled "Catch Me Outside," from his mixtape You Will Regret. Missy Elliott endorsed the remix on Twitter that year, acknowledging the enduring appeal of her original song.

However, when BIA previously teased a new song, some fans accused her of copying another rapper's style. In February, she previewed a track with a bubbly drill beat that some believed resembled Ice Spice's style. Despite the similarities, many fans defended BIA, arguing that she has been using that particular flow for years and has been in the industry longer than Ice Spice.
