MIGOS FANS SHOCKED TO DISCOVER OFFSET ISN'T QUAVO'S COUSIN

Fans of the popular hip-hop group Migos were taken aback when a Variety cover story revealed that Offset isn't actually related to Quavo. This news dispelled the long-standing presumption that the two artists were cousins.

The Variety piece, published on May 24, clarified the familial ties within the group. It confirmed that Quavo is indeed the uncle of the late Takeoff, but the notion of Offset being their cousin was categorically refuted.

"Although Offset is often referred to as Quavo’s cousin, they are actually not biologically related," the story indicated.

This revelation stunned fans, and many took to social media to express their disbelief, with some still struggling to accept that Offset doesn't share a blood relation with his fellow Migos members.

In the same article, Offset spoke candidly about dealing with the pain of Takeoff's tragic demise. He revealed the difficulty he faces when discussing his longtime Migos collaborator.

Offset said, “It’s hard for me to talk about stuff right now. I’ve never talked about this stuff. Seriously. Talking about Take is hard, man. Talking about all this stuff is hard. That’s why I don’t, to be honest. That stuff hurts. Like, it’s gonna put me in a mood, and I don’t want to get in that mood. Some things I don’t never tell nobody. He’s not here. That stuff feels fake, bro. I get through my day thinking it’s fake. And I don’t say nothing to nobody about it.”

Takeoff was tragically shot and killed in November 2022 at the age of 28.
