In celebration of the 10th anniversary of his sophomore album Wolf, Tyler, The Creator has released the instrumental version of the album for fans to enjoy. The release comes just a week after the artist shared Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale.
On Friday (April 7), Tyler, The Creator surprised fans by making all of the instrumentals from Wolf available on streaming services. "WOLF instrumentals out now. all my age 20/21 beats for ya ears," he announced on Twitter. Notably, the tracks "PartyIsntOver," "Campfire," and "Bimmer" have been separated into individual songs on the instrumental release.
Originally released on April 2, 2013, via Odd Future Records, Wolf debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, selling 89,000 copies in its first week. The album, which followed Tyler's breakthrough debut LP Goblin, featured collaborations with Frank Ocean, Pharrell, Earl Sweatshirt, Erykah Badu, Domo Genesis, and Casey Veggies, among others.
In an interview with Guerilla Union following the album's release, Tyler discussed how he drew inspiration from various artists to create Wolf's unique sound. He mentioned studying the musical styles of Grizzly Bear, Tame Impala, Jade, Zhané, Faith Evans, Roy Ayers, and Lonnie Liston Smith, as well as incorporating elements from Teriyaki Boyz, Gwen Stefani, and Missy Elliott.
Last week, Tyler also released The Estate Sale, which serves as the deluxe edition of his Grammy-winning 2021 album CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST. The expanded version includes eight new tracks featuring contributions from Vince Staples, A$AP Rocky, Kanye West, and Madlib.
